I can remember in the 1970s. John Longstaff retailing the Boys rifle with ammunition. I think he was charging £120 for the rifle.

There is a 20mm rifle in the UK. It was awaiting proof the last time I saw it out on SPTA some time back. Used the short 20mm Vulcan round

My son when aged about 12/13 shot a 50 cal black powder rifle and he stated after one shot "not shooting that again" and he had fired a .338LM and a 300WM.

lahti 20mm at knob creek.
Owner was reloading cases and turning his own bullets.
Quite a blast stood either side of it!

The Lathi guns were for sale in the U.S. through the mail in the 50s. The Amercian Rifleman magazine of that era had ads for them.

There’s still a few Boys Rifles about. I was lucky enough to have a go with this one in its original 55cal at Lydd earlier this year. The owner has an engineering company make the heads for him.

I was getting ready to smugly Pooh-Pooh the idea that 13x92 T Gewehr was an obsolete calibre so I opened up the latest copy of the Obsolete calibre list that I of course keep on my laptop for reference. Scrolled down to the 13mm calibres and low & behold there it is line 399 13mm x 92 T-Gew.

That teaches me!

Seen at the Athens Greece military museum last October. I highly recommend the museum although some of the displays are not complimentary to the British Army related to Cyprus.
