Just goes to show that good stuff is still out there, just took ownership of this fine example of a Mod 1889 Schmidt-Rubin circa 1892.
It is all matching with a mirror bore.

I hope you all enjoy the photos.

Still looking at a cast load and wondered what bullet/weight and diameter you use.

I have one that at some point I will shoot.
I believe cast bullets suitable for 303 is good to use. 0.313 and 185gn ish.
I would use N120 or 5744.

I use unique under 174 grn cast lead bullet. I also have one that has been converted to .22lr. Both are very sweet to shoot.
