I can live with a force-matched magazine floorplate and an Arsenal scrubbed scope serial number......my 1926 Izhevsk ex-Dragoon looks like a mongrel in comparison, what with it's mix of Izhevsk and Tula bolt parts and numerous refurb stamps!

A faint number 4 visible on the barrel shank above the wood line, last remnant of the scrubbed scope serial number.....

looks like a very odd spot to get pitting? and is it just the pic, or does it get wider at that point? To me, it almost looks like a weld and poor cleanup?

The pic makes it look worse, it is a tiny little ding that it has picked up at some time over the last 74 years. The bolt handle/bolt body is definitely one piece rather than a cut and welded job.

Whilst perusing the bolt I have found a Tula star proof on the bolt head so that was also changed when refurbed.....for me it doesn't take anything away from it and it's all part of the history in my book :good:

Any prefix in front of the bolt serial number?
