If you are interested in guns in general then Birmingham is worth a visit. Probably the biggest fair in the country with around 180 dealers in three large rooms. A fair chance you will see some Section 58(2) pieces that are shootable. By Sword & Musket (Google it for the web site) used to attend but not sure if he still does. Good catering facilities too. It's held in the National Motorcycle Museum so if you're into bikes that's another bonus.

Christel ... Are you some kind of Daily Mail sensational reporter ? lol
Dont want to be rude but your comment is not only inaccurate but also on the verge of being defamatory ... :bad:

Of course there will be neo nazi and the like there, military fairs sell what they collect.

Not sure where rude and defamatory come into the equation.

This gets more and more difficult a decision to make!! I'm very into bikes and not been to the museum before. Can't stay over on the weekend now though. A small, furry, eight-week old thing called Myfanwy joined the household yesterday :-)

As to neo-nazis, I have zero-tolerance to extremist views at either end of the political spectrum. My interest is the history and the technology. Nothing more.

I've been 'doing' militaria fairs all over UK for 30 odd years, and can only think of one occasion (War and Peace in 1997) when there were any obvious Neo-Nazi's attending.

How do you spot Neo Nazis at a fair if they are keeping a low front? If it's people collecting German militaria then they will be everywhere as the kit is very popular. I've been going to fairs as a buyer and a seller almost as long as GeeRam and can't say I've seen anyone who would fit my idea of a Neo Nazi. Birmingham is a great day out and if you just want a quick look around the three rooms in a couple of hours you could have the afternoon enjoying the bikes.

About as many as anywhere in society ... but you will probably find more neo-nazi among football fans than at a militaria fair - And that is a fact !

military fairs sell what they collect.
No they don't. Militaria fairs sells historical objects like original NSDAP badges around £.100 to £.1,000 depending on makers rarity or grades to collectors, neo-nazi will buy a 3 quid "made in China" copy badge from the internet ...

Not sure where rude and defamatory come into the equation
Because you imply that collecting something makes you support an ideology, which, with all due respect is just plain absurd.

BTW, Christel are you by any chance suggesting that that collecting P08 makes you automatically a fervent admirer of A.Hitler or that shooting or have interests in K98 shows national socialist tendencies ??
Ridiculous isn't it ?
