dioptre PARKER HALE PH5A for Enfield N1 Mark3

#1 Post by mikygpu »

ADMINS: THIS IS NOT A WANTED ITEM POST. IT IS A REQUEST FOR INFO!!!

Here it is a question for old and wise riflemen here.

Another restoration project, this time an Enfield N1 Mark3. My Armourer dealer in France has asked me to find him info about which Parker Hale PH5A goes on an Enfield N1 MK3. He said this: dioptre PARKER HALE PH5A, si possible avec œilleton réglable à 6 positions pour ENFIELD N1 MARK3.
Problem is, I never heard of Enfield N1 mark3. I did heard of Enfield MK3 and I found tons of info about it.
But then I also found other tons of info about PH5A which goes on Enfield MK3.

So:
1st q: Is there an Enfield N1 MK3?
2nd q: Which of the sights listed on here: https://www.rifleman.org.uk/PH_Service_sights.html are for that rifle (if any).
3rd q: What is 6 position adjustable diopter? Is it the same as the Gehmann .22lr Anschutz rear adjustable colour sights?

Enfield No1 Mk3 maybe (SMLE)

The 6 position probably means 6 different apertures as opposed to filters. Parker Hale and BSA made them to suit.

I found one. Are they really worth £250 plus ?
I also have seen an YouTube video how to adapt PH5C to an Enfield No1 MK3 SMLE. Don't know if it will be something for me to tackle, but...

I knew I had seen an advert for one of these, not sure if still available but a good reasonable price in original box.
