Denver: things worth seeing?

#1 Post by meles meles »

We're going to be in Denver shortly, oomans, and wondered if there are any 'must see' things to occupy us for a weekend. We know of the "Wings over the Rockies" air museum but maybe there are other things too ? Possibly shooting related?

There are so many gunshops there you're spoilt for choice. I'll send you a shopping list if you like. . .

There's a massive art museum there.
Check it out.

Mile High shooting centre. Diane is great.
A few hours South will find you at the NRA - Whittington Centre. Worth a visit.

The name of the underground range in Denver escapes me - blue something. Nice people.

I've not tried it myself, but mates from the area recommend buying Tannerite.

Drive into the desert areas, and shoot it from a distance.

Spectacular and fun, I've heard.

<edit><whoops> Also no longer legal there, you need to nip over to Nevada </whoops></edit>
