Re: Short Siberia Yesterday
When I contacted the main UK ammo importers they all said there was next to no chance of them bringing in 5.45 as there is zero demand......unless I wanted tens of thousands of rounds.polemass wrote:My RFD's best friend-ammo collector had 2k rounds. After this it will be "prive" import or something will change here for better
Would 300 BLK not be better ammo supply-wise if you are rebarreling?.

Sorry-but no....300blk is just like 7.62x39.I wanted something new-and different.And 5.45 recoil is much less then 5.56

Re: Short Siberia Yesterday
Hardly call 5.45 new......good luck finding a regular supply of ammo
Prvi Partizan list 5.45x39 cases on their website (that said even the Yanks are struggling to find reloadable 5.45 cases), but no bullets and I would imagine dies would be expense......bullets would probably have to be custom swaged.Seems like a lot of effort just to have something different that you may not be able to shoot much.

Yes Froggy-maybe it will end this way as I stated-private import. But this is not a worry for the next 2 years. After this...who knows, maybe Russians will land here with own supply chain ???

I wasn't trying to put a downer on it mate, just saying that when I looked at going done the 5.45 route it was more hassle than it was worth......respect to you if it all comes togetherpolemass wrote:Tovarishch,is it not a time to change avatar and nick?-Mr.Gru...
