New Member Fife - Scotland

#1 Post by Feathers »

Hello,
Just a few lines to introduce us.

My Wife and myself are both keen Clay Pigeon shooters and I do a bit of game shooting and air rifle shooting. We both fancy taking up rifle shooting and would appreciate any pointers & advice.

My Wife has only fired shotguns, air rifles and a musket. I've did quite bit of military shooting many years ago when I was an army trained sub-unit range coach. (but that was almost 30 years ago).

We both have a lot to learn and/or refresh and would be keen to find out more about Clubs in our area who are open to new members with little or no experience.

We live in Fife, Scotland so would be very interested in hearing about the Fife Centrefire Rifle Club or any other nearby Clubs if there are any Members on here.

Thanks,

Hi Feathers.
Live in Fife?? Your lucky, you have an excellent outdoor Full Bore Range in Fife.

Blair Adam Range.. Just off Jnct 5 M90
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Bla ... 1936?hl=en

I'm a Member of Shandon Club Glasgow and we use Bair Adam mainly. Not too sure about Fife Clubs, I'm sure somebody will give details. I say lucky because I have to travel 90 Miles from Greenock to get there, but it's a great day out. We have to shoot through these Barrels to reduce the noise because the people who bought/built houses nearby knowing there was a Range complained about the noise.
