New Member from Herts

#1 Post by FB66 »

FB66 (Fat Biker) here. Thanks for the add and thought I would introduce myself.

I am returning to shooting after kids and work took priority. I got my latest FAC in Jan. Sold the motorbike and three weeks before the lockdown took possession of a new Dolphin FTR and also a Ruger Precision 22LR.

Having 300 WSM being built which is stuck at the proof house.

I have dug out of the loft my old RCBS stuff got my self some RS52 and shedload of 185 Berger jugs. Currently creating a load ladder for the FTR. Was looking forward to being last at one of the comps
Have some 215 Berger for the Wizum but hoping to find the right powder.

Member of the LMRA and part of their newly formed and small up and coming F Class group
Thanks
Mike

Hello and welcome

Looks like you got your FAC back just in time for the lockdown. It seems most, if not all, grants are on hold now so you just beat the shut-off. That was a bit of luck. :good:

However, not sure how long you've been away from shooting but they're called bullets now, not pills, heads or jugs. ;)

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.

Welcome. Last is always a good place to start as you can only get better... Ask anyone shooting F/TR if they remember a mad Saffie called Tim, he came last at the Euros first time out and won it the following year.

Thanks, everyone for the kind welcome. The dolphin - managed to break it in using Federal 175gn ammunition before the shutdown. The round count now 120. Next 80 on load development then happy days

It shoots way beyond me and is a keeper. Really accurate from day one. Currently trying to remember how to get my RCBS balance scale to work. I was given a Hornady Lock and Load electronic balance by a mate from my club. I understand now why it was free as it is very sensitive. Some searching of the forum and Youtube is now in order.
Stay safe
