Swindon new shooter

#1 Post by reinekurokawa »

Hello there,

Reine here, not yet a full bore shooter

Been shooting practical pistol outside UK

Was lucky enough to shoot some full calibre in Shrivenham, fall in love with it

no pistol shooting in UK is unfortunate but I believe full bore target is equally fun

A quick google and forum search it seem there are no fullbore club in my area, and many members suggest NRA (bisley)?

I think there is at least one member from Swindon shooting practical (mini rifle, shotgun, long barreled pistol) at FDPC in Shepton Mallet.

The club also shoots fullbore (indoor 50m, and regular trips to MOD ranges).

Fester from Gunfellas is Swindon based, he’s also a member at FDPC. But its an hours drive from Swindon.

It generally takes me 2 hours from leaving work, collecting guns, driving through rush hour bristol to get to the range, only 45-50min on the way back though..

Other options are Severnside near the Severn bridge but it's a max 200 yards.
Then, hopefully, FCSA will be able to get back onto Salisbury plain very soon where we have exended range out to maybe 1400 yards but only on hard targets such as tank hulks for the immediate future.
