Phoenix 2017

#1 Post by breacher »

Anybody here going ?

I will be doing the 100-300 and 400-600 "service rifle" - not really to compete as such but because I have new scopes on 2 rifles and its a cheap way to get good elevation data out to 600 yards !

Although not competing as such - if I took the two records held by fellow KLSM members at 100-300 and 400-600, it would be a bonus :-)

And I am trying my 12" .223 in the 40-600 just as an experiment to see how it copes at longer ranges.

And my usual 3 x slug shotgun matches + The McQueen.

I may pop down and chuck some lead downrange, probably just a couple of Gallery rifle events... T&P1 with underlever and maybe LBR.

Probably spend more time around the stalls, still got a .22 slot thats burning a hole in my pocket... :D

Yea mate, line one as discussed, same idea pre imperial. Doing some high power yesterday and after what the SCATT trainer has told me has unearthed a few interesting things, and I now know how badly off zero I was in the last comp...22nd was a bloody miracle Bri wallhead I have had bugger all range time and I reckon the rifle took a smack at some stage...oh well, lesson learned.

I was hoping to get down there and hit up the 4/5/600 and 8/9/1000 F/TR, but there was a clash of bookings at home and I'm not so sure now.

I'll be down on the Friday, entered for the Bianchi x2 (both GRSB & LBP) and Embassy Cup (SGM).

Might go on the Saturday too if I don't see all the stalls on the Friday :)
