1870----Late!
Gunsmith sleeved it and had it proofed---I have variation---just put it on. NOTHING has been done to the rest of the rifle--it is all in the exact same condition as when I bought it.

The sleeve, was it an LE sleeve or a turned down standard barrel?

An original Baker, lent to me by a friend. Shot at 300x - out of twenty shots I hit the targets either side of mine more than I hit my own.

I singed my eyebrows, got sparks in my eye depite safety glasses and set fire to the firing point; but you should have seen my grin!!
Gun rhymes with fun.

We are constrained only by the rules of safety and our own imagination.
