The "I've got a new gun thread"...

#1 Post by Sim G »

We don't seem to enough of this, or perhaps we just don't buy enough guns! But, we need a perpetual thread where someone can show their newest acquisition.

The "rules" are simple. No pictures, no gun. Unless photographic evidence is posted, you have no "bragging rights".

And what constitutes "new", is new to you, or modification/upgrade to an existing possession!

No pics, no gun! Remember. Transgressions will bring upon the member, much derision where he will be pointed at and called "Fake"!!!

So, as I tend to do every couple or three years is clear out the cabinets and replace with other "shinny's". This I've done recently but saved the telling as the camera was up the spout. Wife broke it, so wife can replace it....

Forgive the phone pics in the first post, but this is what I've added to my inventory over the last month...

A Browning A Bolt TCT, in .223. Got a Leupold Mk4 on the top in Leupold steel billet tactical rings.

A Blaser F3 Professional

Image

One for the collection, a 1965 vintage Marlin 336 RC, in .35 Remington. It's almost mint!!!

Image

Next is another for the collection, a Marlin 1894 circa 1920, in .25-20 WCF.

Image

Then there is a Ruger Old Army with the 5.5" barrel. Like many who had cartridge handguns I bought a ROA almost immediately. Had it for years, sold it, regretted it....

Image

And then lastly, one I've had for six months or so, but stuck and hung a load of stuff on it that's green! Nearly the perfect fantasist's tacticool rimfire!

I've been a little busy....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

All the photos seem fine to me. :good:

The 336RC looks nice - lever actions must be growing on me! sign01 Adam has a nice looking one in 30-30 that appeals to me - I think I need help! :o

.30-30, outstanding calibre! Lead bullets and pistol powder for 25 yard gallery. Stoke it up with 150 - 170's, good for deer and boar!

Help.....? I've got 14 in the Marlin collection now! bangbang
