Good looking rifle Daryll, the crud will be down to the original test firing, preservatives and the then the Proof house and nobody bothering to clean it afterwards. :)

Thanks Ovenpaa, I'll post some pics of the actual rifle sometime...

I was going to follow a brief "break-in" routine of firing a shot, then clean, etc.. but as its already had a few rounds through it in testing... and probably rapidly... i'm not sure a break-in is worth it..!

Daryll

I bought one the same for Debs,
I don't know if you reload but we're getting decent groups with 69gn SMKs and 23.6gns of Vit133 loaded to mag length.

Thanks Alan... yes, I'm planning on using 69gn SMKs (and i bought a box of TMKs to try), but it will be with Ramshot TAC to start with, to replace the H335 I normally use.

Regards,

Daryll.

I have just put a deposit down on the Bergara 14 Hunting & Match Rifle (HMR) in 6.5 Creedmore. As an attempt to stave off the depression of losing about half my firearms with the new gun laws, I decided to buy myself a new gun, I am hopeful that a bolt-action rifle labelled as being for hunting a target shooting may just survive the pogrom being instituted by our government.

So far all I see are positive reviews. Thoughts from the forum?

With any luck I may be sighting it in in a couple of weeks.
