L129A1 SHARPSHOOTER

hello all! new to the forum.

anyone heard of one of these?

Apparently new combat rifle for our troops.

Manufactured by lewis machine & tool company,
gas operated,
20 round magazine,
single-piece upper receiver,
free-floating barrels available in 3 sizes from 305mm to 508mm,
and four picatinny rails to decorate with fluffy dice and beads-excellent
........wounder if they do a straight pull yet :mrgreen:

Hey, about time you posted! You shooting at Barton Road at the end of the month?

The L129A1 looks a bit RoboCop to me but if it does the job..

according to a lad ive just recently got through his bike test (infantryman from the Rifles) the sharpshooter has already been withdrawn from service due to unreliability ... broken firing pins etc ..
bring back the SLR !!!

Bring back the SLR indeed, and welcome to the forum ZZR1100. So what sort of bike do you ride :) I guess you and White boy have a bit in common, he shoots, took all my old fly fishing gear and fly tying stuff has just passed his bike test.

Not sure about his choice of first bike tho..... :lol:

hi all ... i used to post from time to time on the guntrader website ... and since the general forum stopped etc etc ..
I ride a zzr1100 as my own bike , however for work (im a DAS instructor) i either use a fazer 600 . a burgman 650 or a kwak er6f !!

Fazer 600, my first bike, excellent bit of kit if the downpipes don't rust through!

actually , thinking about it ... forget the SLR, just have it the way FN designed it from the start !
