I must thank Gaz for bring this to our attention and for the reminder to get the responses in on time which I managed to do both for the club and as an individual. I must now try and persuade club members to write to their MPs. If I am VERY lucky one or two out of a sixty member club will do so.We can only hope that we can hold this off pending an agreed way of working out the REAL costs and then trying to get a debate on the portion to be attributed to our sport and to the taxpayer.
Well done to all who have made submissions, as to those who did not they have no right to moan if the proposals go through unamended.

I just looked at the map on the petition page..............what a miserable turnout!! Only 4534 shooting club members in the whole country?
What's the matter with people? Surely anyone who shoots must have heard about the proposal?
My local club sec. emailed all members about this weeks ago, which is when we signed and completed the survey form.

Just thought you guys would like to see this
Apparently licenses are issued free of charge. Am I missing something or does this clown demonstrate a total lack of understanding of the subject matter?

I don't do arsebook or twatter so I'm going to have to go 'Old school'.
I just can't get over the fact that he obviously hasn't read the part of my letter that clearly stated the current fees and the percentage increase.
Then again, he couldn't be bothered to grace me with the courtesy of a response to an earlier letter regarding the EU stitch-up.
