My old man has one of these on his Martini International for Bench Rest shooting.
They're great scopes. Not sure how they hold up to recoil, but the image is great, tracking is good, and the cross hairs are quite nice to shoot.

I don't tend to shoot it at full mag, only because my pulse puts me off pulling the trigger...

If you're into extreme zoom, I'd say so.

In terms of longevity on big recoil rifles, not a clue.

after dropping it and bending the tube on one occasion I know that my dad had very good customer service from Hawke.

I have a 3-9x40 Hawke Frontier and a 5-15x50 Hawke Endurance, that have done sterling service atop my Swiss K31 with no issues.

Well i bought one and today used it on my 308 at 100 and 300 yards and was happy with it even as the buzzer went off i was impressed .
ok its not as good as some £2500 scopes but its not £ 2500 .had a look at the 1000yards with it and it was clear and seemed good ,just need to try shooting it at that distance now .

oh and all hawke scopes are now centre fire rated so hopefully should be ok ..
