I thought thats the sort of thing the full time chaps at the national associations might be doing. With BASC having 150,000 members at £78 pa (£11.5m give or take) it would be nice to see a fair percentage being spent on protecting the sport at the cutting edge.

Out of the 150,000 members you would have thought there might be half a dozen decent lawyer/barrister types who would take a test case to court, charging only nomimal fees and stop this sort of thing in it's tracks.

Without an appointment they cannot force their way in.

So unless you let them in they cannot come in without an appointment.

Now, if it is a retail shop things may be different as you expect the general public to walk in.

interesting on many levels

Linked to that article is one talking about the 12,000 plus legally held guns on Merseyside....

I'd like to know what they mean by "hundreds of handguns"? Do they mean Black Powder of Air Pistols?, Just seems odd.

There are more than 12,000 LEGALLY owned guns on Merseyside
and WHAT exact;y.

So the law abiding people are blamed because crims nick their guns - so punish the law abiding - is that it? How many of those crimes were committed by people who legally owned guns - that'll be NONE. More red top claptrap to scare the terminanlly stupid sheeple.

Just an update....

They are now visiting clubs and clubs within clubs on Merseyside. They have also started to visit people with less than 12 guns in their possession.

More Merseyside Problems .

It seems that Merseyside FEO's are contacting RFD's in the Merseyside area requesting information on transactions .

One RFD has been requested to provide data on approx 70 transactions some dating back to 2007 .

The official reason for the requests is that there are problems with the NFLMS .

But it is the problem with guns being peddled through the underworld and guns being “stolen for order” that has led to an increase in gun crime in Liverpool. In the past 18 months there have been more than 120 shootings on Merseyside, including five fatalities.
True .... so why sensationalize the amount of firearms held LEGALLY!!!? ****
