The AI manual states the stats use a 5x25 for fitting instructions.

Going by the objective and zoom ring it looks like a 3-12 to me.

As you can see a "4" in this image:
I would suggest it is certainly not a 5-25...
As to the other point, the length of the objective tube is more in-line with the 3-12 than the 5-25...
I'd say BlackburnBuc. is correct in his assessment.

I would go 5-25.... Oh wait, not would. Did.
I don't regret it.
who needs 3x on a rifle that accurate....? heck, should consider 10-50 if it's only for range work...
5-25 is by far the best compromise though :)
