Proofhouse Turnaround Times

#1 Post by Blackstuff »

Does anyone have any insider, or otherwise knowledge of the turnaround times for the proofhouses at the moment? Most people I've asked seem to think between 1 and 3 weeks but if big/important shipments come in they would be prioritised over a shipment of say 50 commercial guns.

I've had a gun on order for 4 weeks now (1 of 100/120 sent to proof together) which is still languishing in there. Was hoping to have it for a match this weekend but looks like that's not happening

London is roughly taking 4-6 weeks .

Not sure about Birmingham .

Regardless of any shipment size , its a minimum 50% surcharge for priority proofing .

I remember putting 8 actions in for Proof, they said there was one more job then it was me, three weeks later they admitted the one job was several hundred shotguns. I am awaiting the return of something right now.

The proof house people couldn't lie straight in bed.

To work there you need any vestige of honesty surgically removed.

I submitted my DIY moderator to London.

Upon collection in person on Tues, I noticed extensive building renovations in progress on the ground floor interior. No doubt there are more and maybe this is a factor ?
