If You Could Have One Gun...
Just a bit of fun but I started pondering this the other day and I wondered what you guys would say:
Imagine you could have any gun - what would it be and why?
For the purposes of the question also imagine that licensing/legality/ammunition/cost/maintenance are no issue - it's all legal and you have the gun for free (but you can't resell it).
I still haven't decided myself, although I feel curiously drawn to some kind of revolver for some reason - must be the Dirty Harry in me!
Cheers.

The purpose of the gun would be?
That would be a big determinant in deciding.

That's for you decide - whether it be for target shooting, hunting, or, since in the scenario licensing/legality isn't an issue - self defence. Or any other purpose you can think of.

For me, FN FAL!
Never take good advice, if you think you know better.

Sako RK95 (M95) or the civilian semi-auto version M92S.

Re: If You Could Have One Gun...
I would have two, the pair of superimposed load, waterproof wheel lock holster pistols made by Pierre Bergier of Grenoble for Louis Dauphin of France.
I have only seen these once, many years ago at auction and I fell in love with them and have coveted them ever since as the highest level of the gunmaker's art I have ever seen. If they were ever to come on sale again I suspect they would a tad more than I could afford so your hypothetical post is the only way I could own them even hypothetically.
