There must be 1000's of dusty attics around the country that are hiding treasures like these ......... but mine ain't one of 'em. :bad:

I once shared a rented house in Westcliff-on-Sea and on venturing into the very dusty loft found an old lantern (nothing happened when I rubbed it), a WW1 greatcoat and the plans for Southend Pier. The landlord wasn't interested so we donated the last item to the library.

My Mrs is from Westcliff-On-Sea......

It would be good to see that lot on display. Hope some of it makes its way to the Royal Armouries in Leeds at some point.
