Re: Sonic cleaners
Rather than making a new thread, I'm hoping someone can answer a quick question. I've got some rusted parts, like small tools and seldom used dies, which have a layer of rust on them. I have an ultrasonic cleaner with the capability to heat the solution. Does any one have a go to recipe which can remove this rust, prefarabry using off the shelf solutions?

Think it depends on temperature and also what solutions you use. I made a mistake the first time on brass I used too much heat and too much Acid content in the solution. It turned the brass a lovely copper colour!

Re: Sonic cleaners
I think they're great on brass, but I haven't been that impressed with using them for mods... it gets the worst crud off, but doesn't properly clean them. ( but then i am using a specific brass US cleaner, so maybe not surprising..)
