I did an FOI request to find out just what got handed in and how much was paid out.
I think there may be a few items that didn't get handed in.

The ban on offensive weapons doesn't apply to antiques.
Except for antique flick or gravity knives which are still too dangerous to allow.

I can only assume those figures don't include the back stock SGC and CCA had? The pre-ban MARS estimate was 400 and LA was 2500......

I suppose from now on offences committed with such proscribed weapons will have to be managed and figures massaged in order to claim this was a success and not a total waste of money. Otherwise Joe Citizen might get the idea that banning things doesn't work.
