It's dire isn't it?
Proudly proclaiming we have some of the strictest firearms legislation in the world - then they bung the key to all the things that go bang in a flimsy envelope and stuff it in the regular mail with a second class franking on it and a return address to give any chancer in the postal service a bloody good clue as to the contents. A 'lessons have been learned' soundbite for the press just waiting to happen.

"Your stock is rising TVP" I'd just like to retract that statement now.
TVP managed to snatch failure from the jaws of efficiency when it granted the variation in good time but then left it lying around unprinted for some nine days plus. I expect it'll turn up just in time for the Christmas closure of any stores I intended to present it. Swiftly followed by the inevitable new year's lockdown. Awesome. Just awesome.

Eight days from handing it in to granting the 1 for 1 variations.
Fourteen days and counting to get it from one Oxford address to another Oxford address.
You do have to wonder if they're doing it on purpose.

TVP 45 working days from application to grant, of which 10 were waiting for it to be posted, arrived Christmas Eve after a phone call the day before. Apparently, it goes into someone queue to print and post and with the recent directive to work from home, it wasn't actioned.

Still, considering some of the horror stories I hear, I'm pretty pleased with them.
