I'd like to have a go with proper pistols (not LBR) because shooting my 44 muzzleloader has wet my appetite.

Honestly, I have felt less hostility from reporting at riots than I did standing there for five minutes. Whoever runs the British Sporting Rifle Club at Bisley really needs to have a word with their RCOs because we felt totally shunned.
Very weird as I too find them very friendly - will have a word with their Chairman this afternoon.

Another thing that has has interested me (but forgot about  ) is Metallic Silhouette Shooting. http://www.imssu.org/

But it doesn't seem to be of interest in the UK.

3 gun is something I enjoy - even if I'm not very fast or good at it.
In fact I like it so much I'm getting on a plane in six hours to spend a couple of weeks over the Pond doing a lot of pistol shooting & a mix of 3 gun & service rifle.

Practice was fun but today's Practical Pistol was a bleedin' disaster.
My extra 1911 magazines had run away & hidden this morning, so I had to borrow some & on the last stage, one jammed on the mag. catch so solidly I had to disassemble the gun at home & beat the magazine out. sign01

It's 0.020" longer front to back than my McCormick's.

I'm off for a good long sulk....
