Geoffrey Perry RIP

#1 Post by Meaty »

On the way home from work the other day I flicked over to Radio 4, who had an extended obituary to Geoffrey Perry. I had never heard of him before but the program was fascinating. I cant find the link for the BBC iplayer but the following gives a good overview of his interesting life.

I did not know about him. How ironic also, that, technically, the "bigger" traitor in this story is actually Geoffrey Perry himself, alias Horst Pinschewer, a German born. It is highly debatable whether William Joyce should be concider a British citizen and as such could be accused of treason toward he country that he did not belong to.
Anyway , thanks VM for this interesting article/orbituary :good:

Meaty..

I heard that program it was BBCs Last Word Programe http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04m3jd0 I frequently listen to it Had I not heard it I would never have heard of Geoffrey Perry. As Joyce's wounds were being described I couldn't help but wince. I read that many people thought that Joyce should not have hanged.
