A great tribute to a brave man, but spoilt as only the Daily Mail can by bad research and inaccurate photo captions.
You'd think that if the Mail run such an article, they'd make the effort to get it right - so many errors and inaccuracies.

Not many knew they existed either ......I didn't, and I thought I was quite good on WW2 era aircraft..just goes to show.The old Mayford 2, not many people knew they were in use. aaarggh
