Some powerful images, hopefully there were no public outcries over the perceived offence or distress caused or whatever else....

Hopefully Reuters do not mind me borrowing their picture either...

A very poignant 'display', and something that will stay with people long after the message on a poster etc has been forgotten. Brilliant idea! :good:

It's a pity that they were not allowed deactivated SMLEs to make it look more realistic.
The problem being that they would probably caused panic in, and 'Offence' to the
general public.

Fair point Robert but the fact it was done at all is a good fist step! Hopefully the message will get through to the snowflakes as this stuff is not being taught in schools. It should be mandatory reading!

I did when they went through Liverpool Street. It's a pity that they were not allowed deactivated SMLEs , indeed , that is the one thing that came to my mind when I saw them

I actually think they made the right call...... to stand there with butchered, "deactivated" SMLE's would be more of an Insult to the "War heroes" I descend from, than not having any rifles at all.
