It's not a question of funding. BBMF is well funded and well supported. They'll do what they need to to make sure of safety and they will be back flying.

If it hadn't been for the sad crash of the Hunter at Shoreham, this wouldn't even made the news.

Its not the first time BBMF have done this for precautionary checks, following something amiss being spotted during routine checks and it won't be the last. All part and parcel of operating vintage a/c.

All sorted then. They BBMF can never have enough funding IMO.
