Re vigour your old waterproofs

If we entered a time of Civil Unrest/Armageddon/Zombie Attacking, what would we do?

Re vigour your old waterproofs

I can't remember if I have passed this on before, if so take it as a bump.

Have you got old waterproof coats etc that seem to have lost their waterproofness?

Instead of trying the various liquids etc, that can leave a smell and marks, have you tried sticking them in the tumble dryer?

You want to get the item hot but not so hot that it will melt the glue on the seems. Works a treat on modern fabrics which start with names like Gore etc. Probably not a good idea for a wax jkt or old plastic macs etc.

I have also ironed my work coat, same result, just takes a bit more effort,

A tumble dryer certainly works well on Goretex type materials.
