A decent cheese knife. I love mature cheddar.

An Army Navy type shop near me used to stock the Type D in reasonable numbers and I often called in to buy things, not because of what they were but because of the girl behind the counter who was gorgeous however she fixedly ignored me on every occasion...

I had a pair of their Luftwaffe grey leather flying gloves that gave great service on my motorbike for a long while.

As anything but little knives are illegal to carry in the UK, you might just as well have a gun.

a handgun is a lot harder to find though (for most of us, and in a proper SHTF situation, the man down the pub isn't gonna be any good)

You can get a pick axe handle or a baseball bat though I bet. I would prefer either of those over a knife.

The s*** is about to hit the fan very soon, an economic collapse greater than anything seen before has just started. Prepare now or regret it later.

That is assuming they are for protection? For cutting wood, skinning animals, sharpening things and so on a baseball bat might be lacking.

I note the Viking has not mentioned her tactical tomahawk yet :run:

When I lived in the UK I imported an obsolete caliber revolver from the US, it worked fine. Where there is a will there is a way. :)

PS, The postie brought it right to my door, no problems with customs whatsoever, and I know they never checked it.
