Zombies - The next generation

In the 1970's we had the slow, docile zombie that you could outwalk and push about without fear of a nip.
In the 21st century we have the non tiring, hyper fast, super aggressive zombie that you really haven't a chance of escaping from.
So what would be the natural progression? The intellegent zombie? one that can drive, shoot?

I've seen them blundering across the streets already - one hand clamped to the side of their heads as if receiving instructions from afar.
"I had brains for lunch - look at the pictures I took. LOL"

Ahh beat me to it! I was going to suggest that we already have zombies, the ones with their head stuck down into their mobile phones.
