At what point do you batten down the hatches?

If we entered a time of Civil Unrest/Armageddon/Zombie Attacking, what would we do?

I must be a tad thick but why is toilet paper the go to preppers' currency now?
If you have to self quarantine for 14 days you don't want to run out of bog roll......

Plus TEOTWAWKI crowd are probably getting a boner over all this so they'll grab what they can........then wonder why they spent so much when it all blows over.
If they anticipate they're going to need the quantities of bog paper that they're hoarding maybe they ought to be taking a closer and critical look at the state of their diet.

In Australia women have been fighting in the aisles and pulling knives in their quest to hoard all the dunny rag. I've noticed they all seem to be much larger than 'seasonally plump', as Eric Cartman would have it.

In all the End Of The World As We Know It TV shows it was never spelled out that people may spend their last days struggling over turd tissue. Humanity has no dignity.

During The Siege of Sarajevo, the longest seige of a capital city in modern warfare, toilet tissue practically became worth its weight in gold because it actually allowed people to hold on to a bit of dignity when just about everything else had been stripped away.

Those that had surplus stocks actually traded it for other items such as food, fuel and ammunition!.

Which it will.

So we've had things like SARS and H1N1, high mortality but low infectiousness.

Now we have C-19, highly infectious but low mortality.

It's the next one to worry about, when highly infections and high mortality combine...

With the degree of wonderment directly proportional to the degree of bonkersness?
