Monsieur Froggy, I have just the thing!
Check out Zib-Militaria as they have a load of different slings. The first page shows the k98 ones but I do not know the country of origin.

Re: Post War Sling K98
Thanks but Zib unfortunatly seems to only have repros . I am after an original post-war made, ie issued to the Czech, Austrian or Norwegian forces . They tend to be a lighter brown colour and made of smooth leather and of course devoid of any WaA marks ...
OvenPaa ... BTW, that is what a sexy Norwegian one looks like !!
An Austrian one is pretty much the same but with a pattern embossed in the leather like the WW2 German Mdl . They tend to be marked with an oval "Stolla Wien" stamp.

Re: Post War Sling K98
Shortened a few post-war Austrian slings for a chap in Oxon....though he never paid for the work!
On a similar quest to find Gew98 sling parts. Some of the metalwork is around, but not the running/slider buckle.
May have some K98 sling parts around. Have you tried the US firms? One sells slings & parts of such, Liberty Tree.

Thanks VM, as it happens, I am actually awaiting for a postage quote for one of Liberty Tree's sling
BTW, If your Oxon chap has a full size/ non-mod post war Austrian left for sale I'd be interested...
