#1 Post by redcat »

Anyone have any coal mining artefacts (lamps, tokens, photographs etc.) lying around?

I've got aprox 55 of these, all in unopened boxes so the are in mint condition. Each one is to a different colliery.

I have a large brass water carrier , it was used down Silverdale pit at some time , carried on a bloke's back and originally ha a spout with a tap. I'll dig it out and photograph it for you.

Nice collection there, Rockhopper. I have a couple of dozen checks at the moment. (some silly prices on ebay!) Long story but basically I'm trying to put a little mining heritage room together for the local brass band who are based in an old NCB pay office. Money is tight so we have to pick and choose carefully at this time.
