But why pay c. £200 for a s/h Chinese 25 power scope when you can get a brand new 8-32 from Fox Firearms for £125?

A few of us recently got the chance to view the March 10-60, the Nightforce 8-32, the Vortex 15-60 at 1000 yards and we also took along a Fox 8-32 for good measure.

That's what I'm basing my opinion on - YMMV.

The answer wasn't meant for you - it was meant for Spencer 54 - to avoid him buying a secondhand Chinese 25 power scope for £200 when he can get a new 8-32 Chinese scope for £125.

The Gun Pimp wrote:The 8-32 Fox scope is more than usable out to 1000 yds - you will not 'struggle' in any way (it's a better scope than the 10-40 version) A visit to Diggle Ranges on any 1000 yd day will verify that.

But, it's Chinese - don't expect Nightforce, Sightron, March quality but optically, it's more than adequate at 1000 yards.

Yes - you can pay a lot more for Hawke and other Chinese offerings but why?
I agree, whilst waiting for my S&B to arrive I used one of Fox's 8-32 scope's to shoot out to 800/900 yards at Diggle - no problem.

You won't go far wrong, if you listen to The Gum Pimp (I have been very well advised).
