What do I need now?

New to the sport? Or just not sussed something out yet? Please ask your questions in here, there are many experienced shooters on the forum and someone will for sure come along and answer your question. This is a section for new shooters so if anyone can think of something please submit it.

when new shooters ask me , " what should i buy".
i always tell them buy really decent ear defenders, you can always buy more rifles , cleaning gear, cases etc but you can not buy back your hearing!!

Thanks for all the comments and advice folks. That's a big help.

Shooting-wise we're very much at the walking before you can run stage. We'll be using the .22s at a local 25m range, mostly offhand. The full bore rifles will be at Bisley or maybe some of the East Anglia ranges, mostly prone or off a bench at 100-300 yards and possibly up to 600. This is a fun hobby/sport for us at this stage without much competitive element. Maybe later.

The FEO said a couple of the weeks Dell but you could be right. I wasn't expecting to see anyone for a few months yet, so I feel like I'm ahead at this stage. Expectation is everything. :)
