One thing that was said is that Thames Valley FEOs will be at the shooting show, not sure in what capacity though

Really sorry to here that your visit has been postponed. There have been some nasty bugs doing the rounds this year and if your FEO has the same 'flu thing I had over Xmas/New Year (despite being vaccinated) you don't want to be anywhere near them. One of the most unpleasant illnesses I've ever had. First time I've not gone out somewhere to see in the New Year since 1982.

I had a call from firearms licencing at Gloucs police HQ this morning informing me that my FAC has been approved and will be in the post today. To say I am over the moon would be an understatement! I have a feeling the coming weeks are going to be VERY expensive.

Good luck Plumose (nice avatar by the way!). Hopefully, it won't be too long now.

@Plecotus, glad to hear your visit and dispatch of the FAC sound like they will be nice and close together, I have heard stories of it being another couple of weeks after the visit until the bit of paper hits the doormat.

The avatar is sort of why I chose the name, I took the picture on a wreck in Cornwall (the Rock Island Bridge in the Helford River), I seem to have decided that only activities were you get to spend lots of money on kit are worth doing...

@Lancs_Oakley, hope it arrives quickly so your spending spree can begin.

Don't think I've dived that one - but not impossible...memory not what it was. Never did much diving around Cornwall - but loads of Devon. I'm a wildlife biologist by trade, so also have a professional interest in such things!

I think a bit of prompting from BASC might have moded things along with my ticket faster than might otherwise be the case. Their firearms people have been exceptional in providing advice and them seem to have very useful contacts within the licencing departments.

You’ll be checking the post everyday now, hoping to see that little brown envelope.

@Plecotus nice to run in to someone else who has dived in the lovely green water. I have ended up an occasional blue water diver for the last few years but am intending to get back in the water over here again
