1500 22lr takes up about as much space as 8-10 DVD cases.

You'll be amazed what you can get in an average internal one!.... I can get 1000 x 7.62x54r, 600 x .22lr and two Mosin bolts in mine :good:

More than a vested interest in 7.62x54r!

OK cheers, top locker is pretty big I reckon that will fit easily.

I might just put a small ammo safe in anyway as an "overflow". Does it need to be attached in the same fashion as the gun cabinet?

If you have room, I'd advise a 2-3 shotgun cabinet for ammo overflow, as it also allows you some expansion on the rifles too. much more usefull than a cabinet you can only store ammo in

From a recent discussion with my FEO, yes it does.

Yes, it should be fixed in the same way although I've bolted mine to the top of my six gun cabinet with four bolts.

OK, so with a variation you can use a moderator slot to get something else. But if you then sometime later decide you would actually really like a moderator are there any problems with FEO's? Or do they just accept that it's how people use the system?
