Spotting scope

#1 Post by Warky »

Morning all,

Looking to get a spotting scope but a bit bewildered by the amount out there - can anyone suggest what magnification would be good for outdoor range shooting at 25, 50 and 100. Plus any reliable makes / things to avoid?

A good, 'old' Greenkat will do up to 100yds very well. I have a Kowa that will easily do 100, with 60x giving clear bullet holes and who printed the target! Try others on the range? Generally the more you pay the better the internals are. Non-fogging and strength and optical lens quality.
