Scope repairs

#1 Post by meles meles »

Can anyone recommend a good repairer for scopes? I have a Lisenfeld 6x42 Spezial that has a broken crosshair. I'd love to get it repaired as it knocks the spots off more modern scopes in terms of optical clarity.

There is a well known chap here in the UK and in 'our' area as well however I cannot find his contact details. As much as it pains me to say it if all else fails give Fultons a ring and see if they share a contact number.

Speak to your local "camera" repair shop (not a high street chain) - I got one repaired quite a few years ago and re-filled and it was a cracking job

I used a guy called Paul Burke in Birmingham {I think) when my Pecar was losing zero. He repaired it, cleaned it and regassed it and all for just over fifty quid, he did all this in less than two weeks. I cant find his number at the mo but he used to advertise in Gunmart.
Hope this helps.
I enjoy my shooting but usually get a better group with the empty cases !!!!
