I've never used Gunstar. I've sold about 5 guns through Gun Trader, last one was a few years ago and I seem to remember the cost of the ad getting a bit silly. I'd try forums first, should help cut down on the number of tyre kickers.

If you use Gunstar be prepared to put up with some total jokers.
I had a sec1 on there and had a few bone head messages.
"Give me your bank details and I will transfer the money. I have an agent in the UK who will collect in 5 days".
I would try here, Airgunbbs and Pigeon watch first.
Havent used Guntrader for years as the ad cost got high.
Gunstar do have the occasional offer on.

Never used either for selling but as a buyer, I have to say that Gunstar search functionality is no where near as good as Guntrader. Its like something from the 90's....

I've used gun star a couple of times, but always find a coupon code for a free advert so doesn't cost a penny.

Usually they have codes at shooting shows, but i don't know any current ones unfortunately.

I've sold quite a few rifles on Gunstar, and I've never had a problem. If you price things properly, you won't normally wait long for a buyer. Yes, you might get the odd eedjit or two, but you'll get them anywhere.

A lot depends on what you're selling. As others have said, selling on a forum usually works well, too.

Gunseekers is very cheap but maybe has a smaller audience. Perhaps if more people used them it would be more popular.

Isn't that the definition of popular?

I have had moderate success with Guntrader but not with Gunstar. Gunstar is too expensive for short periods and Guntrader is too expensive for long stints if something doesn't sell in 30 days.

I have used Gunstar on two occasions. Both were problem free.
There are always going to be some replies to your ad which you won't be too keen on but hey ... if your firearm is properly described and priced, there shouldn't be any issues.
Bottom line is that I would use Gunstar again if I needed to.

Gunstar can work well but unfortunately they changed to an email hiding system which alters the email address of any potential customers to something like riaepje0kypllaq@e.gunstar.co.uk
The problem with that is that a lot of email systems see it as spam and filter/block the messages so you are only able to work with 75% of email customers, that's a real pain if the customer does not put their phone number on a message.
