Gunshops around Cambridge or a bit further south

Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

>Add Gun Shop here<

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!

Gunshops around Cambridge or a bit further south

#1 Post by Fenix1 »

Heading up to the inlaws in a couple of days time. Are there any gunshops worth a visit between Kent and Cambridge? Mainly looking for LBPs.

Cheers

Thetford Guns & Country Clothing did me a great deal on a .22 lbp!

Call them and ask for James.

Our local club uses Fenland a fair bit, but I've not used it personally.

Cambridge Gun Club near Cottenham has a very extensive and well stocked shop, probably worth a visit but check online with them first as I'm not sure if they stock LBPs (I'd be surprised if they didn't because they seem to hold a lot of stock of everything else).

Also worth checking out CPG Design, but Jon is by appointment only, a personalised 1 on 1 service, but you can see on his website what he has in stock.

Thanks all. I have had the pleasure of visiting Fenland Rural Sports, love the range of stuff they hold. They also helped a mate with a Steyr SSG69 get some new rings so he could change the scope.

If you ever get the chance check out the back room at FRS, it is, or used to be full of old and interesting military stuff.
