ROTTWEIL/GAMBA OLYMPIA 72 skeet shotgun

#1 Post by weeir33@ »

Hi folks, can anyone recommend a good practical gunsmith who could make firing pins and springs for the above shotgun. The makers of this particular shotgun went out of business in Italy some 25-30 years ago or perhaps more. Also I would love to hear from anyone who has one of these 12bore shotguns.
Kind Regards,

If you have the broken originals, I'd say give the shooting shed, AKA Binbrook gunsmiths a try

Haygarth's up in Dunnet, not sure of the quality of the gunsmithing now since old Colin passed away.

Stuart Rankine in Jedburgh is highly competent and mainly does shotgun work nowadays.

Stuart is excellent to deal with, straight and to the point, his toleration of fools is non existent.

My sort of gunsmith.

Chambers at Invergordon have done excellent work for me in the past.

Callum Ferguson down Tomintoul way is another fine gunsmith but he mainly builds rifles. Still work is work.
