This is one of the last genuine .22 rifles to leave the Mauser factory before they moved all the machinery to the MAS factory in France. They then remanufactured the rifle as the MAS 45.
It's one of the last 6000 rifles to be made in the Mauser factory.
I can post pictures if you are interested in the rifle.
I have not fired it as far as I am aware it has less than 500 rounds through it.

I don't know the value.
I'm not into .22 rifles.
I would like a Nagant sniper maybe it would not cover the cost of one of those.
I would accept a 91/30 round receiver as a swop but it would have to be in excellent condition.
Or you could just buy it.

I'm assuming it is a Mosin sniper that you're after, rather than a "Nagant sniper", which throws up images of a M1895 Nagant revolver with a scope fitted!...... :p

Anyway, enough of that, I don't know if you have seen this.....

If it is indeed an original PEM scope/mount, and it looks original from the photos and the scope serial number appears to be correct, it has £900 - £1000 worth of scope/mount fitted and is worth buying for that reason alone regardless of the provenance of the base riflre (it would be interesting to see if the receiver is "CH"-marked, as a Tula sniper should be) as original PEM scopes and mounts are quite rare and sought-after.
