High Tower Armoury 90/22 stock (FN P90 clone) for Ruger10/22

#1 Post by Blackstuff »

Hello all,

I know there's a couple of them floating about with forum members, I'm just wondering if anyone knows where they can be sourced other than from Brownells?

http://www.brownells.co.uk/epages/UK.sf ... /100015471

I know Suffolk Rifle Co were supposed to have them in but I can't find them on their website if they do have them. I actually put my name down for the original batch that was coming over but I didn't hear anything from them

Basically I'm looking to put together a readily suppressed .22lr semi. I think I've changed my mind about trying to get a sound moderator on my HK/Walther MP5 (Don't know why they don't have the SD6 model with a working sound mod??). I've always loved the P90 so I'm thinking about going this route. I've got a half memory of someone on here saying that Overpaa had fitted theirs with a Wildcat Whisper sound mod? Now that would be beautiful!!

Ovenpaa did mine, he fitted a 12" ruger target barrel and made a spacer for the barrel to allow the mod threads to lock up as the mod meets the end of the stock. Excellent job.

I got my kit from Phoenix services. A member here.

Mine came via a mate in the states as at that time HTA did not have an export licence. That might have changed now. I would try them direct.

Same here, I got one of the 1st batch sent over by a forum friend in the states (labelled up as an airsoft stock :squirrel: ;) lol )
I am quite certain that the argument you've already won in your head was entirely more satisfying to you than the one that is actually occurring.

The trigger linkage is rather grim as standard however with some imagination it can be significantly improved. I might even have a picture of what I did :)

Any more info/pictures would be most appreciated! Thanks for the replies.

I've emailed the company direct and i'll let you know what they say as its quite a difference in price! (Even with the slump against the dollar!)

I wouldn't have bought mine if I hadn't picked up a 10/22 for £100 as a donor. Once you've had some trigger work done it's a lovely rifle!

This is the only picture I could find, diameter is just under 16,0mm and you need to get the final diameter just right to allow the trigger to re-set with the absolute minimum of creep and flop. I would say it is a step change over the original offering.
