The case deflector now comes as standard with the kit.

Damnit guys, I had just convinced myself that the RM-22 chassis was the way to go with my donor 10/22 but now I am back on the 90/22 after seeing these photos!

I think I might have to suck it up and order from Brownell... I've got a brother stateside but by the time you add on duty & shipping etc it works out about the same price as buying one from them.

Although mine with an 18" SS barrel is gunna look kind of funky....

Sorry to dig this old thread up, but just wondered if the barrel could be chopped down to 12.5" on this kit, or will it take it below legal overall length.

That would take it below. From the Brownells Page:

“The HTA 90/22 requires a minimum barrel length of 18" to achieve the 26" overall length”

So it looks like 16.25” barrel would be the shortest you could reasonably go to remain comfortably ok.

Surely the whole idea of a bull-pup is to be able to get a short firearm WITH a full length barrel !
