Difficult to show how it works, just recoil, but photos below.

The upper is a dedicated .22LR so the M261 conversion, also below, is modified with the removal of the .22' chamber, recoil guide rod modified (shortened and a circlip added at the front end) and with a cut down spring fitted.

I suspect strongly its a issue with the Black Dog Mags

Interesting, it does sound like a mag issue, does it happen at the same point in a mag roughly like first few or last few rounds?

Seems to happen roughly in the middle but is very irregular no clear pattern, as an aside also seems irrespective of brand of ammo
