Fun Shooting

#1 Post by dodgyrog »

I just spent a pleasant evening shooting for fun rather than the interminable postal competitions.
A real treat.
I had my Sako P94S with a 4 power Swarovski scope (not a good match really as it for driven boar!) using Eley Match bought cheap at auction-
took the centre out of the target - who needs 36x!
Shooting - fun!
Purveyor of fine cast boolits.
All round good guy and VERY grumpy old man.

It's funny how a lot of shooters think it's easy to score 99 - 100 @ 25m with a target rifle wearing a 36x scope .... until they try it!

( almost as difficult as shooting gongs @ 1000m! lol )

I only shoot for fun which for me is shooting comps. Anything else is just making noise.

Shooting gongs! Now that is fun!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!
